Would you believe I registered this domain on pretty much of a lark...
As to why; I must confess that as a small impressionable child going through my formatable years in the 1960's (oops, dating myself) I too was caught up in the overwhelming desire to grow up to be like James Bond. By golly, I can still remember wanting a "Secret Sam" briefcase or better yet an authentic "James Bond Attache case" more than anything else in the world (anybody ELSE remember those?). Anyway, to make a long story short, about the time I heard about the new Bond flick the InterNIC was claiming to have made all these improvements in service blah, blah, blah so I thought "what the hey", I'll check it out and shoot off a registration (this was back before they started charging for domain registrations!) and wouldn't it be "neat" to have a domain named, oh, I don't know - how about GOLDENEYE?
So, imagine my surprise: first, when the registration came back from InterNIC in two days and second, approved!
As to all the traffic the server is receiving -- good grief! I was just playing around with this before Christmas, not really expecting to have anything to look at for some time and I come back and the server has been taking over 600 hits from all over the world!!
I haven't publicized this site - not one word - and it's getting all this traffic...
Just for the heck of it, jump down to the list of locations that have hit the server over three different days. (I don't recognize all the locations but some of the more exotic locales - like Norway (no) and Malayasia (my)- do stand out)
I offer you the opportunity to vent indignity, wax poetic or give some constructive opinions on what you think I ought to do with this domain (suggestions beginning with derivitives of "stick", "stick it" and the like will be automatically rejected :)
