Name: Q (Major Boothroyd)   Age: Classified  Hair: White  Citizenship: British  Current Assignment:  Head of Q-Labs Technology Center  Q-Labs making any gadget an agent  of MI6 may need, especially Bond.  They produce such gadgets as pen  grenades, laser cutter watches, or  toothpaste plastic explosives.  Q-Labs has been supplying Bond  with gadgets since his first mission.  They have only provided Bond with  special gadgets in sixteen of his  eighteen missions. Q heads the lab  and is in charge of all the product  and distributing them to 007.

    Q: "Now list carefully 007, this button does....."
    Bond: "Have I ever let you down, Q?"
    Q: "Constantly."

    Q: "Here is your new car. A BMW Z3 Roadster with all the usual refinements. Ejector seat, CD player, all points radar. But this, I'm most particularly proud of. Behind the headlights, stinger missiles!"
    Bond: "Good for unwinding after a rough day at the office!"
    Q: "Now remember 007, you have a license to kill, not break traffic laws!"

    Q: "This pen here is a Class-4 grenade. Three clicks activates it's 4-second fuse (click)(click)(click) and three to turn it off. (click)(click)(click)"
    Bond: "(click)(click)(click) How long did you say the fuse was?"
    Q: "Oh, grow up, 007!"

    Q: "To test this pen we use Roger here. (a dummy) Terribly sorry, Roger." (Q activates the fuse and puts it in Roger's pocket)
    Q: "Don't say it!"
    Bond: "The writings on the wall?"
    Q: "Along with the rest of him!"
